Los Ojos de las Diosas – The Goddesses’ Eyes

The avocado Persea Americana originated in Southern Mexico, and through ancient trade, most South and Central American countries have cultivated many different varieties. Evidence of the consumption of the undomesticated variety criollo has been found in the ancient cities of ChanChan in Peru all the way to Coxcatlan up to 10,000 years ago. The word comes from the Nahuatl word ahuacatl, and throughout modern South America, it is named aguacate or palta (from the Quechua word). Known as a superfood full of happy fats and protein, we serve these treasures with a cooked egg in each half and topped with chorizos and arepa on the side.
