Nopal, from the Nahuatl work for cactus pads, is a species of Opuntia cacti. Endemic to Mexico, it can be found in Australia where it is an invasive pest, the prickly pear. Cleaned of their spines, cooked and bottled, the nopal pads can be eaten any which way. With 30ml Tequila, we add spicy nopales to crushed iced, splashed with the bright pink juice of its fruit. High in vitamin C and magnesium, you could say it's healthy! Not for takeaway.
